What is recruitment fraud?

Recruitment fraud can potentially take a number of forms. An individual or organization poses as a legitimate company for the purpose of fraudulently obtaining money or personal information from job seekers. This fraud utilizes some combination of sending notifications that may appear legitimate with company logo taken from our website/social networking sites, fake websites, fake emails, fake interviews, fake profile of a company recruiter, fake offer letters, asking for bank/financial accounts information, asking for recruitment or training fee etc. With increase in recruitment frauds scams that have become very convincing, please be aware of how to identify a recruitment fraud to ensure you have a safe job search.

How to identify recruitment fraud?

  • Aretove and its subsidiary Aretove Technologies in India does not employ any third-party recruitment firms or staffing agencies. We are not connected with these types of services or individuals.
  • We only have one location in India at Pune, Maharashtra. Any offer for employment in India outside of this location is fradulent.
  • Aretove’s recruitment team only communicates from email address with the domain “@aretove.com” or “@hr.aretove.com”. We do not send any email from domains like gmail, yahoo, iCloud, photonmail, live etc. There is a possibility of scammers sending fraudulent emails using “@aretove.com” or “@hr.aretove.com” domains.  Any contact by an email that does not use exactly the “@aretove.com” or “@hr.aretove.com” domains is fraudulent.   • During the recruitment  process, we require one or more interviews that’s conducted either face-to-face or virtually with employees of the company. We will never request an interview via WhatsApp, Telegram, Skype etc. Any offer of employment that is unsolicited and/or does not involve an interview process is fraudulent.
  • You will not be asked for any money or security deposit during or after the recruitment. There is no fee at any stage of the recruitment process. We do not ask for any fee for purchasing equipment, laptop of any other device. At no time during the recruitment process will you be asked to share any tax forms/returns, bank account, credit card or any other financial accounts information. If you are asked to pay money for or share tax/bank/financial accounts information, its a fraudulent offer or scam.
  • We do not ask prospective employees to undergo any form of paid trainings. If you are asked to pay money for any form of training, its a fraudulent offer or scam.
